Aperture Export With Watermark Bug
Sometimes when adding a watermark on export Aperture will ignore the transparency of the watermark and instead insert a black background behind the watermark image. Found a simple, if irritating ,solution on the Apple discussion boards: System Preferences > Displays > Color and then select the sRGB (or Adobe RGB) Apple supplied profile.
Update: doesn’t always seem to work. Looking further.
Rapidweaver Review
Having more or less finished putting together the site, I feel the urge to do a review of Rapidweaver 4. In addition to discussing the experience of developing the site, I compare it to Apple’s iWeb (which I started with before getting Rapidweaver) and doing it ‘properly’ with my old PHP driven site. Sort of follows on from the earlier post How This All Works that explains what and how this site does.

Once again I find myself completely redoing my website after realising it’s been a year since I updated the old one. This time however things are slightly different: I’ve elected to eat humble pie and make use of Rapidweaver, an admittedly quite good, if at times a little frustrating, WYSIWYG editor... and hopefully a slightly more frequent set up updates.
